Calling all dinosaur lovers! Zoos Victoria have 3 exciting dinosaur experiences - at Werribee, Melbourne and Healesville Sanctuary!

At Melbourne Zoo, visitors can explore the prehistoric world on the brand-new Dino Trail and come face-to-face with over 30 life like dinosaurs, including a T.Rex, Raptors and a Triceratops family! Whether you're a budding palaeontologist or a fearless dino-trainer, there’s something for everyone. Plus….

  • Fossil Dig Zone - Young palaeontologists can roll up their sleeves and dig for ancient fossils in our hands-on excavation site.

  • Photo Opportunities - Capture unforgettable moments with your favourite dinosaurs.

  • Roaming Dinosaur Puppets - Keep your eyes peeled for roaming dinosaur puppets and lively encounters that bring prehistoric creatures right up close.

  • Delight Your Taste Buds - Dino themed kids packs and Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

  • Explore the New Dino Trail - Follow the trail to uncover different species, learn fascinating facts, and immerse yourself in a world millions of years in the making while helping save the Southern Bent - wing Bat from extinction.

Don’t miss the dino’s at Werribee Open Range Zoo - take a journey through time and embark on an Indiana Jones inspired prehistoric adventure. Let your imagination run wild as you encounter 14 awe-inspiring Dinosaurs, smoking volcanoes, bubbling swamps, dino footprints and unearth life-like dino fossils PLUS Dino’s After Dark that runs from April 11-18.

In the Yarra Valley at Healesville Sanctuary, step back in time to the Lost Sanctuary. A hidden part of natural bushland off the beaten track. Explore the windy paths as the dinosaurs become bigger and bigger. Curious little ones can play inside the dome bubble Dino Egg Hatchery, while parents refuel with a convenient coffee station nearby. Dino Doze silent hour between 9am – 10am daily for anyone with sensory needs or who wants to observe our dinos while they are quiet and still.
