joy cafe, coburg
/Joy in Coburg is such a local gem. This small but mighty cafe doesn’t only serve up some of the best coffee around, but they also house-make some amazing pastries and desserts, alongside some fresh and flavoursome brekkie and brunch bites.
The focaccias and toasties are full of flavour, with many options available, including the reuben, meatballs, and mortadella.
The dessert highlights for Mamma are the burnt basque cheesecake, and the fluffy berry pancakes, but there are SO many more goodies being baked fresh daily. Their chocolate babka recipe was even shared and loved by the dessert king Darren Purchese himself!
Keep an eye out on their socials to see what specials they have baking.
You can even order full-sized cakes in advance for your next special occasion.
The space inside is small, so fine for the bigger kids but not for prams, however there is a courtyard out the back with more space and seating, to enjoy during the warmer weather.
