kantin, carlton

Now, this was fun and something new for the whole family. Kantin in Carlton is the latest restaurant serving up a quirky dessert that will have you talking long after you’ve eaten it.

Say hello to the ‘dirty sponge’ cake. This limited edition sponge cake tastes a lot better than it looks. With fluffy lemon ‘soap foam’ and Pandan ‘liquid soap’. It looks so real but in little Miss 9’s words - ‘tastes amazing’.

Kantin is also home to traditional Indonesian cuisine. The flavours are so delicious and so authentic Mamma and the crew enjoyed every bite. Mamma’s favourite was the Mie Goreng Kantin which was filled with flavour and veggies, not to mention the beef ribs and the corn fritters.

The serving sizes are pretty big, so Mamma suggests ordering a few options and sharing.
