olive tree bakery, coburg north
/Olive Tree Bakery has just opened up in Coburg North and get excited mammas, there’s a play area for the kiddos! This place is dishing up some delicious Lebanese food, like falafel, fatteh, hummus and a range of yummy goodies made with Lebanese flatbread.
The shami plate from the breakfast menu lets Mamma have a little bit of everything, scrambled eggs, Lebanese sausage, fried cheese, cooked veggies, dip, and fresh Lebanese bread, oh and some olives too! There is a kids menu, which includes nuggets or falafel, with chips, but Mamma’s little one can’t go past a spinach and cheese pie and a mini zaatar, they look so good in the front counter, who could blame her? Yum!
While we wait for the food, it’s play time! There is a fully enclosed play nook with toys galore, books to read, kitchen and shop set up and dress ups. Mamma can watch from the table and enjoy her latte while Miss 3 keeps herself busy making friends and choosing which dress up to try on next.
The set up here is great, with 2 separate eating spaces, so if you want to go without the kids one time you can sit away from the play area, and a carpark making access super easy!
There’s also lovely messages displayed around this place, explaining the symbolism behind the olive tree and the desire to make this a welcoming space for all to gather and enjoy, which Mamma thinks they have totally achieved! The friendly and helpful staff also contribute to this success, we just can’t wait for our next visit!
