Drum roll please - Piccolina has arrived in Collingwood and it's melting hearts.
Walking into Piccolina you are transported into a dining experience like you're in downtown Italy; with raw walls, and bar stools along the bench. There are gelato makers on-site during the shops opening hours so customers can get a look at how the stuff gets made. Little Miss was in ice-cream heaven.
When it comes to choosing flavours, Mamma says try before you decide. There are 20 regular flavours and four kinds of granita to choose from. There are four rotating gelato specials each week. Every flavour is delicious! There's also the option to top your gelato with rich liquid chocolate, churned in an on-site fountain.
Piccolina guarantees that all of their products are freshly-made; and they don’t use any premixes, artificial flavours or preservatives. This makes Mamma's Ice Cream experience not so guilty.
Mamma's special mention: Fancy a bite to eat before dessert? Check out Jimmy Grants across the road - well across the road and just up the street. You've got to try their chips with the feta. Yum!
