Next time you head to Collingwood Children's Farm, save your back from carrying all the snacks and grab some tucker from The Farm Cafe. This beautiful cafe is half in and half out of the farm, servicing the visitors from the stairway or diners can access from the Main Yarra Trail bike path. The alfresco eatery is stunning in the warmer months with the sun shining through the shutters; as well as the cooler days when you can snuggle near the fireplace and grab a blanket for your lap!

We love their sustainable practices and use of seasonal produce in their menu, plus the special board gets a great workout. Each time we visit, the kids grab a Little Farmer's Lunchbox, packed with a sanger, fruit and a sweet treat before an adventure in the farm yard, whereas Mamma loves tucking into a super salad or filling Farmer's Breakfast.

The other great option is to ring ahead and order a Farm Picnic Basket filled with everything you need for a family picnic during your visit. One less thing to pack for a day out is an absolute winner in Mamma's book!
