the ninth ave, westmeadows

Tucked among a factory lined street off Mickleham Road, you will find this absolute GEM of a cafe - The Ninth Ave.

Only 5 minutes from Melbourne Airport, this cafe is a handy stopover on the way to or from a holiday, or a great waiting spot if you’re picking someone up from a flight, but for this mamma - I’m lucky to call it my local!

Their NEW Summer menu is definitely something to be explored and enjoyed in the sunny outdoor area, or the cool and bright indoor space.

Mamma tried their signature dish - the Hamhock Benedict. 2 perfectly poached eggs and 6 hour braised ham hock atop a house made potato rosti, that was deliciously moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside.

We also enjoyed one of their new menu items - the Middle Eastern Eggs. Such great flavours all married together making the best combination.

For the sweet lovers, The Big Stack was a winner. Fluffy and warm ricotta and lemon hotcakes with blueberry compote and cinnamon mascarpone, topped with a drizzling of maple syrup.

For a special little treat as well as a coffee hit, the Mont Blanc is a must try. Cool and refreshing, this cold brew is something different on the tastebuds!

There’s also a yummy kids menu for the little ones to enjoy, and a parents room to take a break or privately feed, with a TV, comfy couches, and amenities for nappy changes and food prep.
