Zaatar Middle Eastern Bakery and Cafe is a well loved Coburg family business. We love a family meal here or to pop past for a take away coffee and pie - we’ve even ordered crowd-pleasing catering for small events.

Spacious enough for prams and with highchairs available, it’s the perfect casual, light-filled spot to head to with kids in tow. The food is delicious with simple, kid-friendly options like pizzas, cheese pies and flat bread with dips. We particularly love breakfast here - the big breakfast has a Middle Eastern spin and includes dips, olives, Soujok (sausage) flat bread, cucumber and mint with your eggs. Yum. However we CANNOT go within the vicinity of this place without ordering a Cheese & Vegemite pie to go - you have to taste it to believe it!

Grab a treat from the cabinet on your way out or to go with your coffee, there are biscuits, slices, Turkish delight and mouth-watering baklava.

Mamma’s special mention: You are a hop, skip and a jump away from the brand new Coburg recreational spaces created during the level crossing removal project. Check out the playgrounds, dog park and mini skate park while you’re in the area.
