With little kids in tow, hanging out down by the paddle pools (on steroids) Birdy Cove and Amazonia Falls will be best - both are suitable for even babies to splash about while also appealing to, well Mamma enjoyed the slides here a LOT so I guess… adults! And of course there’s Volcano Beach - a heated wave pool suited to all ages.

This is a fun park for all ages, there’s no doubt about that!

When you want a break from being wet, have a turn at mini golf, go-kart racing, and alpine taboganning. Big kids will enjoy Blackbeard’s Fury and the stomach churning Voodoo 360 where you build up a spin and linger upside down before swinging back down again!

Little ones have a whole ride area for themselves over at Mystic Kingdom where fairly tame rides mix with others fit to produce a preschool sized adrenaline hit.

Mamma's top tips on visiting Funfields:

Book in advance to avoid disappointment - tickets sell out during peak periods.
Get there early and set up your picnic rug or find a table and make it your base for the day - in a shady spot under a tree is ideal!
Height restrictions are in place... so it can be hard on the small ones, check these before booking. Mamma says take a spare grown up with you if you can.
Shoes needed for some rides.
Jump on the popular water rides early as there are often large lines by lunchtime.
Get a locker for valuables.
You can bring your own picnic food, and there are undercover BBQ’s here. There is also a cafe as well as ice cream shop.
