hanging rock llama treks, woodend

What a magical and truly unique family experience! Mamma is a real animal lover and so is the little one, so getting to know such interesting creatures in a tranquil, bush setting is just so special. Mamma hopes you all get to have a day this lovely!

There are a few options for your llama experience depending on preference and on the age group of any kids in tow. The Llama Meet & Greet is perfect for young children and involves getting up close with the llamas - meeting and patting them before a morning or afternoon tea (for humans and llamas - you get to feed them!).

Children 12 and over can attend the 5km Hanging Rock Trek checking out the beautiful reserve with llamas as travel companions, followed by a morning or afternoon tea. For the more keen hikers there is the option of a Day Walk on the Domino Trail which is a 12km hike between Trentham and Lyonville and return.

All experiences begin with a group llama meet and greet where you can pat, get to know and even cuddle some of the llamas! Mark - the llama keeper - is there to provide some instruction on how to lead and care for the llamas and some insight into what makes them just so cool! You can ask questions and learn the name and personality of each llama. They are all so different with individual spirits and attributes.
