eltham library, eltham
/This place was something special. The Eltham Library resembles somewhat like a treehouse, surrounded in old, tall trees that have been around for years. Mamma says it's just an adventure walking to the front door! When you walk inside, there are branch-room like areas. These areas draw you into little hubs. One of the hubs which we enjoyed most was the children's part of the library. It was warm and inviting. The space included areas where little ones could draw, colour and paste. There were quiet spaces where children could read and an outside space where they can roam. Children are encouraged to enjoy the library in it's natural form with many storytimes and events held in this area. The library hosts a variety of Storytimes - Some of these include - Bookaroo - Baby Storytime - Toddler Time - Preschool Storytime - Bilingual Storytime - Weekend Storytime - Bedtime Storytime. Click here for times!
As well as Just4Kids an after school program for primary school children that can include art, craft, technology, movies and games. These are held throughout the year.
Mamma's special mention: Check out what's on and make a morning and arvo out of it. Don't forget to grab a bite at the Shillinglaw Cafe where the little ones can have a play in the sandpit while you enjoy your cuppa uninterrupted.
