goona warra cafe, sunbury

Mamma loves to visit the brand new cafe at Goona Warra Estate in Sunbury - a stunning winery surrounded by beautiful vineyards you and the little ones can wander through, now with a coffee in hand.

It’s the little things that Mamma loves when she visits Goona Warra Cafe. There’s plenty of outdoor space for kids, high chairs available and even monthly colouring competitions where one lucky mini wins a cookie. The estate also features a mini golf area that’s free for kids visiting the cafe and grounds - sadly it was raining when Mamma last visited, but we already can’t wait to head back and try it soon.

The menu is packed with delicious brunch options, with Mamma especially loving The Melbourne breakfast (think smashed avo with a twist) along with the Eggs Benedict, and an amazing selection of meals for lunch after 11am. Mamma’s hot tip for lunch is to try the Godfather Burger - meat lovers rejoice, this one is for you! There’s also a dedicated little menu for the kids with options including nuggets and chips, fish and chips, chippies and a little waffle topped with vanilla ice cream, mixed berry compote and maple syrup.

There’s just so much to love at Goona Warra Cafe. From the gorgeous decor to the homewares and gift shop filled with beautiful pieces you’ll want to take home (yes, you heard us folks, there’s a gift shop right next to the cafe!). Even the bathrooms are beautifully thought out, with little care baskets stocked with handy extras like wipes, deodorant and hairspray - such a lovely touch that really sums up the care behind this place.

Goona Warra Cafe can get busy - and for very good reason - so Mamma definitely recommends booking ahead before your visit.
