This new Carlton cafe takes Japanese sandos and sides to the next level, with expertly crafted matcha…. to match!

Getting the curry flavours right was key for the team here at Attakai, and they have it nailed with a range of options throughout the menu.

Think loaded sandos filled with pork, steak, or chicken, as well as Japanese brekkie options with curry omelette, shokupan, and hotcakes too!

The menu here really is something special and well thought out, unlike anything you’ll find at your regular cafes, and Mamma is absolutely here for it.

The team at Attakai also specialise in matcha, with a variety of ceremonial grade options available. You can enjoy a fresh hot cup of the good stuff as a latte, or iced and mixed with seasonal fruits too. Mamma couldn’t go past the pretty purple iced ube matcha, which was super yummy!

You can also try a signature Japanese coffee, or just your favourite cold brew or hot tea alongside your brunch.

There is plenty of seating inside however it does fill up quickly with everyone wanting to try a bite of this super cool and fresh hot spot.
