Well this has got to be one of the best playground/cafe set ups Mamma can think of!
The incredible Gum Nut Park playground opened last year and the Shared Cup social enterprise cafe is welcoming customers as well. This is a community driven, not for profit organisation, empowering employees by providing training, skills and job experience. The staff are friendly and you’ll feel welcome here.
Choose from indoor seating or tables on the spacious deck, both directly overlooking the playground. The coffee is delicious and the breakfast menu has everything you could be after - including a full kids menu, juices, smoothies and an incredible sweet and savoury breakfast board for 2. For lunch - from 11am - there are options like the crispy skin salmon, pulled pork burger and roasted lamb shoulder. There are also lots of quick takeaway sandwiches, pastries and sweets if you want to grab and go back out and play - you’ll find shaded picnic tables around the playground.
