mill park library, mill park
/Looking for a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself while the kids are entertained? Mill Park Library is the perfect spot. This spacious and welcoming space boasts an impressive collection of books and resources that keep little ones both engaged and inspired.
Beyond the extensive selection of books, the library offers a range of facilities, including a cosy cubby for quiet reading and several small tables and chairs throughout the children’s section.
We particularly enjoy attending the family Storytime sessions here, followed by a visit to Chancez Café, the library's in-house café, where we can grab a coffee and a babycino.
Afterward, we head outdoors to the lovely garden area, where the kids can have their snacks, play, and read the books we’ve borrowed in the sunshine. The library also features a nature play area, complete with balancing logs, chimes, and a delightful lizard sculpture that the little ones love to climb on and relax with a book during sunny days.
While you’re there, be sure to check out the variety of events they offer, such as Libraries After Dark, held every Thursday evening. It’s the perfect opportunity for older kids to focus on their homework in a quiet, resource-rich environment. Alternatively, they can enjoy some entertainment and safe socialising, complete with light refreshments. And that’s just one of many exciting events hosted throughout the year.
