MoPA (museum of play and art), thomastown
/It is time to celebrate, MoPA has arrived in the North!! An old warehouse in Thomastown is now the newest addition to the Museum of Play and Art family.
For those who haven’t yet experienced the FUN that is MoPA in Geelong and Sandringham, this is a space where families can come together to create, discover, experiment, and play.
Thomastown MoPA is jam packed with immersive exhibits and experiences for kids of all ages. Mamma’s little ones could stay here all day and then still want to return again and again! Luckily they offer memberships to this incredible place.
The space is set up with so many amazing rooms and spaces, which Mamma won’t spill the beans on every little detail, as it really is something you need to check out yourself but let me tell you, you will be in awe of the opportunities there are here to have with your little ones!
There’s a stage for dance parties, a room with dress ups, craft room, rooms for quiet play, loud play (wait till you see the drums!), building, multi sensory rooms, interactive touch screen colouring in, waterplay (quack quack!), cars with buildable ramps and raceways, and that is JUST a glimpse of what to expect.
Under 2’s have access to their own giant soft play area, where they can climb, build and move their little bodies. For the bigger kids over 2, they are going to love the adventure room. They can climb over a rope web, swing on monkey bars, jump on a mini trampoline, test their balance on the beam trail, and zoom across the flying fox.
Everyone’s MoPA favourite’s are also here, an interactive museum wall where YOU become the art and the coolest canvas to paint on ever, a real car! You’ll also find the iconic giant cityscape cubby at the rear of the space, where one half is completely wheelchair accessible! There are also multiple private party rooms and a fully licensed cafe.
Mamma can’t wait for you to experience MoPA with your little ones, it really is a creative and inspiring play space to spend quality time together and make amazing memories.
