Grab the kids, and even the dog, and follow the yellow canola road! It won’t lead you to the land of Oz but somewhere even better, a cellar door!

Shiraz Republic in Cornella has opened their canola fields to visitors and set up a fun self guided tour, with some cool stops along the way. Hidden within the fields is a rustic viewing platform (made from an old truck) and a piano to play!

This walk is great for photo opportunities and a fun family outing before popping back to the Shiraz Republic cellar door for their yummy pizzas, wine and beer.

Important things to note:

Canola walk is open for the 2024 season from August 16th until October 4th. Check their website for the up to date season as dates are subject to change.
The walk from the cellar door to the fields can be tiring for little ones, so there is the possibility of carrying them for some of the way. No prams.
The canola fields are important crops, so let’s be respectful with our hands and feet.
Closed shoes are best, and don’t be surprised if they get a little dirty.
